We were in Austin, Nevada this weekend and ate lunch at a little cafe called Toiyabe Cafe. Austin isn’t much, it’s a tiny old western town in the middle of no where. I spotted these two unusual little quilts hanging on the wall and promptly took some pictures with my cell phone. I’m not sure what method was used to create these tiny little quilts. Maybe it’s a combination of methods? The quilts appear to be standard applique with some reverse applique methods. I think they are cute.
UPDATE: Thanks to a VERY smart reader, Chris, I now know these little quilts are Indian Art from Panama.

Those 2 mini quilts look like molas. I think that they are by the Mung people of Asia.

Sorry, wrong quilting style. If you look on WiKi there are pictures of the same style quilts from the Kuna people of Panama. Guess the rain has addled my brain!

Chris – You are right, I think these little quilts are from the Kuna people of Panama. I’m amazed that you would know this info. Thanks!
