Wooden Quilt Signs

by Shelly

How cute are these wooden quilt signs?  Any of these signs would look great in a sewing room or maybe would fit into a rustic themed house?  I have a primitive wooden “I Love Quilts” sign in my sewing room and I love looking at this wooden quilt sign whenever I walk into my sewing room.  I love it!   This is just a small sample of wooden signs available.

It’s time for me to pack up the Christmas tree and get back to sewing!  I’m so happy Christmas is over.  I know this sounds really scrooge like but I swear the older I get the more I dread Christmas.  I love watching my kids open their presents and get excited over their gifts. I also love watching my family eat the food I’ve spent days preparing.

But…. there’s always a but isn’t there?  Overall Christmas is a bunch seemingly nonstop work and it seems as though it’s all on me.  This year was a little different, my husband helped me do the majority of the shopping for the first time ever.  He also helped me set up the artificial tree (I have an injured shoulder and didn’t want to put additional strain on it)

I made Tamales on Christmas Eve, just like my Grandma did when I was growing up.  I love keep traditions alive. I started cooking at 8 am and didn’t finish the Tamales and have the kids plates made until 4:30 pm or so.  Making Tamales is a ton of work but I know my kids love them so my work is appreciated. The kids look forward to having tamales on Christmas Eve all year long.  Since my husband is out of town working, I took it easy on myself and only made a few pies and appetizers for Christmas dinner.  My mom brought over some soups she’d made and kept them warm in crock pots, which I thought was a great idea.  Everyone loved the appetizers, soups, and pies.

Right now I want to get my house back in order, declutter my living room and straighten up my sewing room.  I want to spend a few days sewing before my husband comes back home from his business trip.  Since starting this blog I haven’t finish a single UFO but I’ve started a project or two.  I think I need to set some goals so I can stay on task and actually finish something.   I’ll have to work on this list.
